Plunge + Koi is designed for a constrained buildable area, transforming a compact footprint into a layered outdoor living environment. The layout centers around a lounge patio organized around an elevated pool featuring a double negative edge, integrated sun shelf, and heated spa. A long linear fire feature anchors the space and reinforces the main axis of the design.

A 9,000 gallon koi pond is carefully interwoven with the pool, creating a unified composition while remaining fully independent in function. Each body of water operates on separate systems, with distinct equipment, water levels, and interior finishes to support their specific use and visual character. The result is a tightly integrated design that balances complexity and clarity, combining multiple features, simple circulation, and defined spaces within a smaller, highly efficient footprint.
